CLUB DAY

Once again, the Matrics Club Day has gone off without a hitch, thanks to the organisation of the faithful. This is the one opportunity we get each year to make a few dollars off the BBQ within Etsa Park. With a captive market, it’s not hard to sell good food and sure enough, that’s what we did.

Many thanks must go to the army of cooks and helping hands who make sure Matrics has the best BBQ and is the one people look forward to most.

500 bacon and egg sandwiches, 600 sausages and 20kg of steak for sandwiches with the lot are working proof that if you do it right, people are happy to pay for good produce. We made a tidy sum of money to help provide equipment and facilities for our teams.

SPONSORS NIGHT 2009

On a recent Saturday evening, we had the pleasure of hosting many of our sponsors at the annual Matrics Netball Club Sponsors Night. We are grateful for the financial assistance that these people are able to afford us. Without sponsors, Matrics Netball Club does not exist.

This year, we have been able to welcome the 16 franchises of Contours Ladies Gyms as our naming rights sponsor. It was very heart warming to see so many of these people supporting the club at this year’s sponsors night.

Thanks to The Saracen’s, another club sponsor, who provided the venue for the event. The atmosphere and catering were both up to the high standard that we have come to expect from The Saracen’s. Many of the State League squad’s personal sponsors were able to attend, further demonstrating their faith in the Matrics players to be on top of their game.

Furthering our affiliation with the Pulteney Football Club was their willingness to recognise some of their sponsors during the evening as well. This is just one of many nights during the year where the Pulteney Football Club have joined the Matrics girls for an event, with many more to come throughout the season.

Again, thank you to Parksey and the social committee, without whom the night would not have been as successful. The night is a chance to celebrate and welcome our sponsors, and provide them with either a team or individual photo in recognition of their contribution to the club.
